The short version: we sell two things, listings and labelled Sponsored ad slots. We use no affiliate links, and paying never changes where a tool ranks. This page says exactly what is paid and how it is marked.
1. We do not use affiliate links
No outbound link on this site earns us a commission. Links to a vendor go to the vendor, with a UTM parameter so they can see the traffic came from us and nothing else. You can right-click any of them and check.
2. Paid ad slots are labelled Sponsored
Featured and Ad slots are paid placements. Wherever one appears it is labelled Sponsored, it sits apart from the ranked list, and its link carries rel="sponsored". A slot lasts for the period bought and then ends by itself. We sell no sponsored newsletter placements and no category takeovers.
3. What we do sell
Listings and review work, to the vendor of the product being reviewed, and labelled ad slots. Basic covers automated checks and publication of a product page. Standard adds a written review by a human editor with a verdict, real pros, real cons and a rating. Premium adds 30 days in a labelled Featured slot. Ad slots are bought by the month. Prices are at /pricing. Featured and Ad slot links always carry rel="sponsored".
4. Why paying cannot change your position
The ranking formula is published in full at /how-we-rank and contains no payment term. An editor writes the rating and the cons, and nobody here can sell a change to either.
5. Links on paid listings and slots
Featured and Ad slots always carry rel="sponsored". The link on a paid listing page follows the site setting PAID_LINK_REL: by default it is a normal link, and it can be switched to nofollow or sponsored for every paid listing at once.
6. Your trust
If you ever feel a listing is misleading, contact us — keeping the directory honest is the whole point.
